About Patriots Path

Patriots Path is a five-part course that provides career transition strategies for those in “our military family” who are unemployed or underemployed in the Charlotte region.

Learning the ropes from civilian recruiters puts students back in the driver’s seat. In-classroom interactive workshops are held once a week for three hours in a corporate boardroom setting. Additionally, students are required to complete three breakout sessions (one-on-one with assigned mentors and coaches) to reinforce resume (re)writing, mock interviews and job shadowing.

Each student takes an online personality/interests assessment that helps them identify careers of interest, craft a personal marketing strategy and offers specific descriptors and action words that can be used to enhance resumes and strengthen interview answers.

We also cover resiliency in the workplace and offer continued individualized support for up to a year following graduation.
