About Marriage Management
Marriage Management’s mission is to provide real life tools that enrich and strengthen veteran and military marriages. One-day programs are delivered by veteran couples and provide a safe and confidential place for couples to reconnect and find support and positive encouragement. Participants learn and practice specific skills that enable them to better manage marriage and the unique marital stresses caused by deployments, combat or physical, mental and emotional wounds. These tools can be used immediately to enhance communication, heal trust wounds, overcome damaging behaviors, rely on and commit to each other, reduce stress and develop new bonds of intimacy. Classes are free because we believe those defending our country deserve to have healthy marriages.
Our core program is an eight hour research-based marriage skills education class: Active Military Life and Resiliency Skills. What is unique about the program is that it is presented by an experienced, veteran married couple that wed two weeks before basic training in 1970. Classes are presented on a real life level and include discussion groups and activities. We provide a safe, confidential, supportive environment. It is marriage education, not counseling or traditional training. It addresses: different communication styles, trigger management, avoiding destructive behaviors, anger and apologies, conflict resolution skills, and staying in love.
EligibilityWe serve all military couples.
