Dexter is a senior vice president and fixed-income investment specialist with Capital Group. He has been with Capital Group for 31 years. Earlier in his career at Capital, Dexter served as a senior vice president of American Funds and manager of the fixed-income group as well as an investment counselor in Capital Guardian Trust Company’s Personal Investment Management division. He also managed and coordinated the launch of American Funds’ 529 college savings program, CollegeAmerica®.
He holds a master’s degree in art history from the University of Colorado and a bachelor’s degree in social ecology from the University of California, Irvine.
He currently serves as co-president of the Hollywood-based homeless youth center My Friend’s Place and is co-chair of the Drawing and Photography Acquisitions Committee at the Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) in Los Angeles.
