The Warrior Ride is a non-profit organization founded in Oak Island, North Carolina with a mission of rehabilitation for our injured war heroes. Their vision is to provide our nation’s injured service members with the opportunity to find their own starting line for a new future. It is also to bring community support and awareness of the sacrifice our heroes make in keeping our freedom free and offer our communities the chance to thank our nation’s heroes.
By executing challenging and characterized bicycling and morale building events, The Warrior Ride founders believe our nation’s heroes are given an opportunity to be able to take pride in the skills they have and redefine their abilities through accomplishment in an atmosphere of camaraderie and support. Kayaking and golf are examples of some to of the events and adaptive challenges used as a tool for recreation and rehabilitation. With events taking place in various locations throughout the United States, service members will be able to find a way to participate in these activities. There is no cost to the service member to participate in “The Warrior Ride” events as all expenses are paid through donations and grants.
