At No Barriers, their mission is to unleash the potential of the human spirit. Through transformative experiences, tools and inspiration, they help people embark on a quest to contribute their absolute best to the world. They bring together the community of curious and brave explorers who are determined to live with the “No Barriers” life.
No Barriers began in 2003 when two separate teams of individuals launched organizations designed to change people’s lives by providing transformative educational experiences. One, No Barriers USA, started by working with adults and children with disabilities while the other, Global Explorers, reached middle and high schools students. Both believed that by taking people out of their comfort zones and exploring the world, you could forever shift the lens through which they saw and navigated their lives. This is how the paths of these two organizations eventually united to become one.
At No Barriers, they offer a few different programs. These programs range from duration and what best fits the individual explorer.
The No Barriers Summit is a 4-day event that will inspire participants with guest speakers and showcase cutting-edge innovations. There are more than 40 adaptive activities that will help the participant and their family break through barriers and connect with the community. Regardless of the individual’s ability, they will leave forever changed.
No Barriers Warriors improves the lives of veterans with disabilities through curriculum-based experiences in challenging environments.
No Barriers Youth is the premier educational program challenging young people to contribute their absolute best to the world. This is done through transformative experiences, classroom tools, and real-world inspiration.
“There is a gift that my mind, body and soul received on my No Barriers journey that I embrace deep in my heart, and that is being able to dig deep again. I get to see that obstacles are not just points in time to get through or avoid. I know in my heart they are paramount moments to not just rise to the top, but be the top.” – No Barriers Participant
