In the recreational activities veterans are offered a variety of outdoor sports, including cycling, mountain biking, hiking, disc golf, canoeing, snowshoeing, skate skiing, classic cross country skiing, alpine skiing, and snowboarding.
Continue Mission researches and networks in order to connect with veteran-related service providers and organizations, bringing opportunities for mental health support, recreational therapy, family outings, competitive sports events, employment, education, and community services.
Their path to healing focuses on camaraderie while enjoying exercise and nature. Continue Mission shares ideas about good nutrition and personal goal setting, as well as support and encourage each other along the way.
“Thank you so much for the Dinner Celebration Saturday evening.
It was so moving and heartfelt. I especially enjoyed the soldiers story-not very often do things bring me to tears but that story did.
I feel that being a part of the CM family has brought me closer to healing. It’s so wonderful to see that there are individuals out there that support us Vets and willing to help with the healing process. CM enables me to get outside, play, laugh and just have fun.
Thank you so much!!”
At Continue Mission, they take an active role in suicide prevention and mental health awareness by taking part in training courses and through involvement in the Utah Suicide Prevention Coalition and Davis HELPS Suicide Coalition.
