Dr. Adrian Dollarhide graduated magna cum laude from Princeton University with a degree in molecular biology in 1991. He completed medical school at University of California, San Diego in 1995 and continued his training with a residency and chief residency in Internal Medicine at UC San Diego – serving a majority of this time within the VA San Diego Healthcare System. He accepted a staff position within VA where his career has focused primarily on serving veterans and in educating a future generation of physicians who strive to embrace the principles and professional standards of the medical profession. He believes passionately that all physicians should practice “concierge” medicine – which should be delivered to all patients as an expectation of the profession, regardless of resource.
Dr. Dollarhide has been fortunate enough to serve an unparalleled collection of American heroes at VA San Diego, while simultaneously helping to educate a future generation of US healthcare providers at UC San Diego. He believes that both community and public partners should work collaboratively to help veterans rehabilitate and re-integrate most successfully. He is awed by the daily work and achievements of the individual R4 members, and inspired by the vision of the R4 Alliance.
