Operation Amped’s mission is to share the love of surfing with those who are not always able to enjoy the sport. They know from experience, the healing potential of surfing for seriously ill, injured, or disabled U.S. military veterans and their families. Their vision is to build a surfing community that demonstrates appreciation for the sacrifices of servicemen and women with its welcoming environment.
Because of the psychological benefits of surfing and being on the ocean, veterans in their program can experience a unique form of “therapy” while having fun. During their time in the program, they will be encouraged to maintain focus on positive change in their present, and for their future.
Operation Amped offers single-day and multiple-day clinics with safe and effective participant instructional practices, that are FREE for injured and disabled veterans. Donations from generous members of the community make it possible for us to offer this service to our nation’s heroes.
Thank you so much for your service and sacrifice for which our nation owes you a HUGE DEBT! Without you we would not have a FREE nation and our organization would not exist.
Operation Amped recently accepted 10 surfboards from Prudential Financial at a team building event. The event was hosted by Firefly Team Events at the Laguna Beach Montage Resort. All of the surfboards will be customized and given to the ill, disabled and wounded veterans that participate in Operation Amped Surf Clinics. We are honored to be able to provide these surfboards and make a difference in veterans lives.
